SEMI-ANNUAL INSPECTION
In Quebec given the weather conditions, hydrants must beings inspected twice per year, semi-annually by a specialized company.
Performance tests are conducted using special equipment including, among others:
A pitot tube;
Different precision calibrated pressure gauges;
Diffusers T (Hose Monster);
High-pressure hoses.
A full report, including a performance curve (issued according tables hydraulic calculations), is produced for each hydrant.
